Matt McFarland '16 Bikes Across America
Matt McFarland '16 biked across the United States. Participating in Bike and Build's Across America program, McFarland departed from Providence, Rhode Island and finished in Half Moon Bay, California. In total, McFarland's route spanned 4,160 miles across the United States. In order to participate in the journey, McFarland had previously raised $4,500 for affordable housing. In addition to raising money for affordable housing, McFarland spent fourteen days of his journey building houses with Habitat for Humanity.
